NYC Smoke Out....

As you know today is Mustache Monday's! My weekly post dedicated to men, for men and about men!

Today I wanted to pay special attention to a particular hobby most men I know, with a certain element of class, ruggedness, and swag tend to par-take in!

The art of socializing in a smokey room?- What does this mean?

"Having a cigar and maybe some cognac or whiskey with your boys!", but where do you go outside of your friend's basement "bachelor pad" or in your attic/man cave. How about taking it to the streets of Manhattan or BK? Here are a few options to try. As one of these establishments state, "they make an unhealthy habit-glamorous"..Don't blame the messenger! ....I am not advocating smoking or picking up the habit! However, if you do already and want to know other options of how to socialize this habit it quaint, classy, ritzy, or down home venues, which accommodate this long time hobby....well here goes!

More "Haute" Steppers! ....2011 Spring/Summer

The theme the last few weeks has definitely been gearing up for your Spring/Summer Fashion gear...so I remain on that topic..today back to focusing on my first love--SHOES!!! How'd you guess?

Check out Matiko Footwear...."haute" stuff at very reasonable prices!
These GREY leather peep-toe wedges are fierce! I haven't seen many of their shoes over the $200 mark; I have a huge space in my heart for most of their wedges!   Buy them here: Matiko Women's Lapa Wedge Bootie,Grey,8.5 M US
I'm all about taking risks with footwear and these are winners to me...ok so you can't wear them to the office, unless of course your in the industry or a creative type; BUT the style below are definitely some "watch out now" shoes..I can't imagine not getting stopped every block when wearing these "Haute" steppers! I love the way they infused the Animal print on the back..Innovative..watch out for this Designer! They have been around but I feel as though they are getting a lot more attention these days. \
NOTE: These won't be on sale until JUNE-2011

Check out the full line at: Matiko Footwear--> http://www.matikofootwear.com/
Tip: Follow their blog on the site as well.

Below are some of Brian Atwood's newest spring designs ..Loves it!
The Heavy Metal pump below is daring but safe all in one! Want to spice things up during the warmer months at your office? These will definitely do the trick!

http://www.yoox.com/  has a variety of some of the off season collections for Brian as well as some from his recent spring/summer line. If your only looking for this season, try http://www.saksfifthavenue.com/main

The black sheer mesh inserts in the design below against this nude look, also creates a unique spring look! Take a look at the heel as it flairs out towards the bottom...also a nice touch! Yummy! (I know if shoe's were edible like cupcakes I'd be Extra-wide, XXL!)..LOL

Here are just a few more of the shoes from his collection:
Shopstyle also has more from his collection:  http://shefinds.shopstyle.com/browse?fts=brian%20atwood%20pumps#0_0

Claw your way into the Spring & Summer Months....

I'm soo sorry for leaving you folks hanging...it's been literally 4 days since I put up a post!!! This week has been insane!!! In additon, the weather may not exemplify "Summer and Spring"...but let's snap out of it and get a head start by bringing our own cheer to surface!

Along with my eager excitement for warmer weather; I'm charged to paint my 20 digits an array of colors to match the season! If you are a Grey, Bold, or Nude kinda girl, the Spring/Summer 2011 Nail trends have it all!

Below is a beautiful BOLD- "leaf like" green! This nail color is great on fairer skin tones or extremely deep/rich skin tones. Also I wouldn't over kill with loud or bright color clothes when wearing these hues. I would go with Neutrals, greys and other muted tones which allow your NAILS to SHINE!

Below is a new line of Fabulous season appropriate Pastels from the Urban Outfitters Franchise. (ModelOwns). I believe as of 2011 they have started to carry this brand and you can also buy them online... "google" - Model Owns- nail polish. They also have a host of other "seasonal" collections available.

Below is another fan favorite.."ORLY", they have a great mix of bold and classic colors and they last long!
ORLY can be found at most beauty retailers, as well as online at retailers such as http://www.ulta.com/ or http://www.sephora.com/

If you are looking for a huge steal!...Try "Wet and Wild" Fast Dry. They also have seasonal colors that will make you bloom! you can't beat the rock bottom prices either- $1.99 per bottle! Rack up on them at CVS, Duane Reade or any other Beauty Retailer!
One of my old time favorites is Essie. They always come out with some snazzy Names and great colors that pretty much suit every taste, from the Bold and Electric to the Tame and Classy! ; )

Until next time, stay Schwanky!!!
